Teenager Jimmy Lagoro, a student in S4 vacation from Kings College Budo has been captured by the Red Eagles for a five-year employment contract.

“I am happy to join Express Football Club. I thank my parents for giving me courage and support, my school (Kings College Budo) that gave me the platform to play in the FUFA Tv cup where I was scouted.” Lagoro remarked.
Lagoro, a talented winger was identified during the 2024 FUFA Tv cup competition where he had exceptional displays.

“He (Lagoro) is a special player with good talent. He is quick and offensive minded. He will be helped to develop further and I envisage him in the frame of Allan Okello” Badru Kaddu, head coach at Express Football Club disclosed to the media at Hamz Stadium.
Express Football Club public relations officer Jeremiah Mugerwa believes that the relationship between the two institutions; Kings College Budo and Express Fc will further be cemented by this transfer.
“Express FC and Kings College Budo are two institutions that have co-existed for a very long time. The transfer of Jimmy Lagoro will further cement our relationship. Express FC will visit Kings College Budo to discover more Lagoro’s. We shall also invite them (Kings College Budo active and former students) for big Express matches” Mugerwa, also a teacher by profession stated.

Lagoro is the first-born child in the family of two to Charles Abongo and Evelyne Oryem.
He commenced his elementary education at Water Front Nursery school in Nabisunsa.
He studied at Mbuya Parents primary school (P1 to P3) before crossing to Budo Junior for P4 to P7 classes.
Lagoro has been at Kings College Budo for his entire O-Level education and yearns to return for A-Level (PCM).
He was a member of Excel Soccer Academy. Lagoro is a big fan of Portuguese star player Cristiano Ronaldo and Express wide man Richard Basangwa.
