Sports Club Villa overcame Buganda Regional League side Seeta United 3-0 during the Uganda Cup Round of 64 contest at the Seeta Church of Uganda playground on Thursday, 23rd January 2025.
Aslam Ssemakula, Patrick Jonah Kakande and Arnold Odong were on target for the reigning champions in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
Ssemakula set the ball rolling with a third-minute goal that was defended for the entire first half.
Kakande added the second 9 minutes into the final stanza before Odong’s powerful header capped the icing on the cake on the stroke of the half mark.

Sports Club Villa made the grade for the Round of 32 whose draws will be conducted soon.
The Jogoos join the other successful clubs as Kataka (beat Young Simba 2-0), Simba, CATDA, Pakwach Young Stars, Police, Mbarara City, Lugazi Football Club, Wakiso Giants, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF), Maroons, Soltilo Bright Stars, Gaddafi, Current Stanbic Uganda Cup holders Kitara, last year’s losing finalists NEC, Express, BUL, Vipers at the round of 32.
Meanwhile, Onduparaka failed to travel to Bushenyi for their contest against Bushenyi Veterans whilst Blacks Power reported to Soroti for their match with Soroti Thunders who turned up at another venue.
As it stands, Bushenyi Veterans and Blacks Power could also book their berths to the round of 32 via boardroom decisions.
The winner of the Stanbic Uganda Cup qualifies to represent the country at the CAF Confederation Cup.
