Victory University registered an 82-78 victory against Rezlife Saints in game one of the FUBA Division One Final Playoffs.
In the game that was played at the Lugogo Indoor Arena, the Victoria Crocs took game one in a heated game of basketball.
Rezlife Saints opened up a four-point lead (21-17) ahead of Victoria University after the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Victoria University bounced back from a chasing park to take a four-point lead (37-34) going into the long break.
Coming from the locker rooms, it was heated up as both sides went toe to toe, but Victoria University came out victorious by two points (63-61).
In the final quarter of the game, the Victoria Crocs out muscled the Saints with a four-point (82-78) lead.
The two teams will meet again in game two on Friday, January 24, at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.
Joseph Kumbai Ayol led the scoreboard with a double-double scoring 19 points and pulling down 18 rebounds.
Gideon Kasasa led the Saints’ scoreboard with 15 points while Richard Anyunva managed 11 rebounds.
